Twitter announced yesterday the release of its new look and has begun rolling it out.  I have already updated mine – you can see it at: www.twitter.com/staceylmyers.

The Header Photo:  The minimum design dimensions of the new header photo are 1252 x 626 pixels and the maximum file size is 5MB.

Avatar: Your avatar image sits top center of the image and will still show up with each post.  The bio is still the same with the clickable links.

If you would like to update your image now you can do so at: https://twitter.com/settings/design.

The iPad, iPhone and Android apps have also been redesigned. This is what Twitter blog had to say about the iPad app – 'We’ve rebuilt the app from the ground up to make it fast, beautiful and easy to use. Twitter for iPad brings you closer to what’s happening all over the world, and makes it easy to keep up with the news you need to read, the photos you want to see and the people you follow.'

This is what it looks like and the iPhone is very similar.

Interested to hear your thoughts about the new design.  Leave your Twitter link below as I would love to check out how you are using the extra space.

  1. Hi, I’m fairly new at Twitter so I don’t know what the old design looked like. Here is a link to me. If you’d like to check it out (even though it’s in Swedish) I would love to hear your thoughts.
